Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the behaviours we will not tolerate on vyradata.com, the Insights SaaS at app.vyradata.com, and connected third-party platforms we access on your behalf. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service by reference.
1. Scope
The AUP applies to anyone using VYRA Data services, whether as a paying customer, a free-tier founder account, a delegated agent of a customer, or a website visitor submitting a form. It also applies to content and actions you direct VYRA Data to take on connected platforms (Meta, Google, Apple, TikTok, etc.).
2. Prohibited content
You will not use VYRA Data services to create, publish, store, or distribute:
- Illegal content under Canadian, US, EU/UK, or other applicable law.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We report to NCMEC immediately.
- Content that promotes terrorism, mass violence, or other serious crime.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Defamatory, libelous, or maliciously false content.
- Discriminatory or hateful content directed at protected characteristics.
- Sexually explicit content directed at minors or non-consenting adults.
- Misleading or deceptive claims in advertising (false scarcity, fake testimonials, etc.).
- Content that violates the terms of a connected platform (Meta, Google, Apple, TikTok, etc.).
3. Abuse, spam, and CASL
You will not:
- Sending unsolicited commercial electronic messages in violation of Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) or analogous laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR e-Privacy).
- Using customer-list audiences or lookalike audiences without the consent required by the underlying platform.
- Harassing, threatening, doxxing, or stalking other users or third parties.
- Impersonating another person, organization, or VYRA Data staff.
4. Security misuse
You will not:
- Scanning, probing, or attempting to penetrate our systems outside an authorized program.
- Attempting to bypass authentication, authorization, or rate-limiting.
- Uploading malware, viruses, worms, trojans, or other harmful code.
- Extracting OAuth tokens, credentials, or other users' data.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling our software.
- Sharing seats or login credentials across people.
Coordinated, good-faith security research is welcomed under our disclosure process. Email support@vyradata.com with the subject “Security Disclosure” (see Security Overview).
5. AI misuse
Vyn is a productivity tool, not an excuse for behaviour we would otherwise prohibit. You will not:
- Generating content that violates the Prohibited content list above.
- Generating impersonation content of real people without their consent.
- Generating content designed to deceive (deepfakes intended for fraud, manipulated political content).
- Submitting prompts designed to extract proprietary or other users' data from the service.
- Automated mass-generation of content that violates a connected platform's spam or quality policies.
We may sample prompts and outputs for the limited purpose of detecting abuse (audit logs only; see Privacy §10).
6. Third-party platform data
When you connect a third-party platform (Meta, Google, Apple, TikTok, etc.), the platform's terms continue to apply. You will not direct VYRA Data to access or use platform data outside the scopes you granted, in violation of the platform's policies, or for purposes the data subject did not consent to.
7. Account hygiene
- One seat per human. No shared logins.
- Keep credentials and MFA recovery codes safe; report compromise immediately.
- Remove seats for people who leave your organization.
- Keep billing contact and notification email addresses current.
8. Enforcement
If we suspect or confirm an AUP violation, we may, depending on the severity and the risk to other users or the service:
- Reach out to discuss the issue and ask you to remediate.
- Rate-limit or temporarily suspend the affected feature.
- Suspend the account pending investigation.
- Terminate the account under Terms §40 with no refund of fees attributable to the period after termination.
- Notify a competent authority where required by law.
We will use good faith and proportionality. We will not use enforcement to retaliate against lawful security research, lawful criticism, or lawful complaints.
9. Report a violation
To report abuse, content concerns, or security issues, email support@vyradata.com with the appropriate subject tag: use “Security Disclosure” for vulnerabilities, “Legal Notice” for legal correspondence, or no subject for general customer support. Please include enough detail to investigate (URLs, screenshots, timestamps, account references).
